Trump Taps Putin As Partner In Local Cornhole Tournament

A local cornhole tournament in Erie, PA has inadvertently become the center of controversy and one of the next stops on Trump’s campaign trail. Trump announced he will be playing in the tournament Wednesday evening, but even more surprising is his choice of partner. “I talked to Vladamir Putin earlier today and he accepted my invitation to play. We will get so many cornholes. We will have the best cornholes,” Trump said. “I want to start reaching out to fellow world leaders now so by the time I’m in office we can begin planning how to deal with the worldwide cold snap. Hell should have long since frozen over by then.” The choice of partner comes at an odd time that only seems to prove Trump’s critics right about his sympathies towards Russia. “Let me tell you something, OK,” Trump stated. “When I say I will put the best people to work on things. This is what I’m talking about. I have it on very good authority from a friend that Putin is the best at cornhole. The best. She says she can see him practice every day, right from her house.” This doesn’t seem to be the end of sports related diplomatic outreach. In the middle of writing this article it was just announced that he will participating in a beach volleyball tournament with German Chancellor Angela Merkel the following week.
