Ken Bone Announces Bid For Erie Mayor

The breakout star of Sunday night’s presidential debate, Ken Bone, is now looking to use his fame to enter the political arena himself. He announced Wednesday that he would be entering the race to become Erie, Pennsylvania’s next mayor. “As an undecided voter in the general election, I truly feel that I have the inability to make decisions required of an Erie politician,” Bone said in a prepared statement. The aspiring politician quickly rose to fame over the past week after being featured during the presidential debate asking the candidates a question. “I’ve always been interested in running for office, but with no real civic experience I felt I would just do more harm than good,” he said. “After seeing Donald Trump in person, I’m confident I couldn’t do any worse.” Bone says that he chose Erie as his platform to launch his career because they have a “dope indoor water park”. He also researched the city’s current mayor, Joe Sinnott, and found that expectations for his successor were so low that, short of burning the city to the ground, his first term would almost certainly be viewed as successful.
